Broadway Academy
Broadway Academy is a vibrant secondary school in Aston, Birmingham that utilizes a section of the Top Barn land as a campsite and also the lake at Island Pool for kayaking and raft building.
Having access to this facility helps the academy deliver an exceptional curriculum experience, with a particular emphasis on outdoor education, to its 1,250 students.
The academy’s motto, ‘Believe It Can Be Done’, is a driving force in providing an outstanding outdoor education programme to pupils living in an inner-city environment.
Esperance Farm
Located on the Top Barn Trust land, the farm is an extension of Broadway Academy’s outdoor education programme and provides students with an experience of modern day farming and bush craft. With sheep, poultry, and multiple green houses, the students learn how to care for animals and cultivate plants in an environment that is unlike anything they could experience within the city.
